1. Age and Driving Licence Requirements
A valid driving licence is required to rent a vehicle. Minimum driver age and required licence holding periods may vary depending on the vehicle category and rental location.
Different age or driving experience requirements may apply to certain vehicle groups.
2. Reservations
Collection and return locations, dates, times and vehicle category information must be entered correctly when making a reservation.
Reservation confirmation is subject to the applicable booking conditions and vehicle availability.
3. Vehicle Category and Availability
Reservations may be made by vehicle group or category. A specific make, model, equipment level or colour may not always be guaranteed.
Where necessary, a vehicle with similar characteristics or an appropriate higher category may be provided.
4. Documents Required at Collection
A valid driving licence, identity document or passport and any payment method or additional documents required under the reservation conditions may be requested at vehicle collection.
Additional documentation or an international driving permit may be required for international drivers depending on the country and applicable regulations.
5. Payment Conditions
Rental charges, additional services and other applicable fees are collected according to the reservation and rental conditions.
Accepted payment methods, prepayment requirements and any applicable authorization/deposit arrangements may vary by vehicle category, location and reservation.
6. Vehicle Collection
When collecting the vehicle, customers should check its documented condition, fuel level, mileage and supplied equipment.
Any discrepancy or existing damage should be reported to authorized staff before driving away.
7. Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned at the date, time and location specified in the rental agreement and in accordance with the applicable return conditions.
Late returns, returns to a different location or use outside the agreed booking conditions may result in additional charges.
8. Fuel Policy
The vehicle's fuel level may be recorded at collection. The vehicle should be returned according to the fuel policy stated in the reservation or rental agreement.
Fuel and service charges may apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than required.
9. Mileage Conditions
Rental packages may include daily, total or unlimited mileage. Where a mileage limit applies, additional charges may be incurred if the specified allowance is exceeded.
10. Insurance and Protection Options
Insurance and protection coverage may vary according to the rental country, vehicle category and selected package.
Where additional protection products are available, their coverage, exclusions and applicable conditions are specified in the relevant reservation or rental documents.
11. Additional Drivers
The rental vehicle should only be driven by persons authorized as drivers under the rental agreement.
Additional drivers must also satisfy applicable age and driving licence requirements. Additional driver charges may apply.
12. Traffic Fines and Tolls
Traffic fines, parking charges, motorway tolls, bridge charges and similar costs arising during the rental period may be charged to the renter.
Applicable administration or processing charges may also apply.
13. Accidents, Damage and Breakdowns
In the event of an accident, damage, breakdown or vehicle malfunction, contact Autofix Rental as soon as reasonably possible and follow the instructions provided.
Reports or other documents from the police or competent authorities may be required.
14. Extending the Rental
Rental extensions are subject to vehicle availability and approval from Autofix Rental. Extension requests should be made before the existing rental period expires.
15. Cross-Border Travel
Taking a rental vehicle outside the country of rental may require prior authorization. Insurance, documentation, country and route restrictions may apply.
The vehicle should not be taken across international borders without the required approval from Autofix Rental.
16. Changes and Cancellations
Reservation changes and cancellations are subject to the conditions of the selected booking rate.
Changes may result in differences in vehicle availability, location, dates or price.
17. Renter Responsibilities
The renter is responsible for using the vehicle in accordance with the rental agreement, traffic regulations and applicable law.
Unauthorized use, use contrary to the agreement or failure to make required notifications may affect applicable insurance or protection coverage.
